Natchaug State Forest

Natchaug State Forest is a 13,200-acre park spreads over 6 towns. Hiking is featured with trail choices like the Blue-Blazed Natchaug Trail (totalling 17.6 miles) and the shorter CCC Loop Trail. Pass by the historic site of Gen. Nathaniel Lyon’s birthplace while hiking the Natchaug Trail. No fee.
