Pachaug State Forest – Snowmobiles

Pachaug State Forest ‘s trail utilizes unplowed forest roads and snowmobile or motorcycle trails. A series of loops permits adjustments for time and distance as desired. The trails are an easy grade and suitable for novice operators. Some fees.

MORE: We encourage those who love off-road vehicles and snowmobiles to enjoy trails designed for those purposes.  Be sure to pass this information on to your vehicle-loving friends in The Last Green Valley! Join a riding association and learn about private land riding options, too.

At the current time, neither Connecticut nor Massachusetts has any public areas open to quads in The Last Green Valley’s 35 towns.  Additionally, there are no Connecticut state-managed areas open to dirt bikes.

Directions: From the junction of Rtes. 138 and 49, proceed north on Rte. 49 for 1 mile to the forest sign on the left. Follow the forest entrance road for approximately 1 mile. Park at the ball field area.
