Quinebaug River NRT – Holland Pond to East Brimfield Lake

This segment of the Quinebaug River NRT is within the East Brimfield Lake Project of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is a designated Watchable Wildlife Area. Paddle downstream 3.9 miles to East Brimfield Lake Boat Ramp with little current, extensive wildlife habitat, 3 picnic landings and no portages. Excellent 3-hour outing for beginning paddlers and families, though once you enter the open water of East Brimfield Lake, strong winds can be daunting. Below 20 to 30 cfs, it will be a scratchy and weedy ride. No fee.
