As 2016 winds down, I hope you will pause for a few minutes, bundle up against the cold, and head outdoors on a clear frosty night to look at the stars. Set against the deep, dark sky, the stars always take my breath away and clear the clutter from my head, reminding me how thankful I am to be living in The Last Green Valley.

“Dark by night” and “green by day” still aptly describe our National Heritage Corridor, and I hope that you, too, will be inspired by the stars and make a year-end donation.  Every dollar is gratefully received and will be spent wisely to celebrate and conserve The Last Green Valley’s unique lands, waters, stories, and treasures.

With your dollars we will fund local cleanups, connect with kids in classrooms and camps, award historic preservation grants, monitor the health of our lakes and streams, expand Spring Outdoors and Walktober, collaborate on forest conservation and agricultural projects, and inspire you to Explore everything the National Heritage Corridor has to offer.

With your dollars we will continue to build and lead strong partnerships, to nurture and inspire the next generation of stewards, to foster sound economic development, and to enrich communities through our programs.

Please support our work by making a year-end donation.  If you wish, you may direct your donation to one of our new endowment funds held by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut or the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.
