Join Chief Ranger Bill Reid for a 2 mile loop hike at Old Furnace State Park in Killingly. From the main parking lot we’ll hike the yellow trail and the yellow/blue trail to the top of Half Hill, or what is locally known as Ross Cliffs.

Old Furnace State Park, Killingly, CT

From the summit we’ll enjoy the view of Furnace Pond and to the east into Rhode Island. We’ll then continue on the trail down Half Hill and around Furnace Pond and back to the parking lot. Along the way we’ll look for lady slippers and learn more about the flora and fauna that make Old Furnace State Park a favorite location for many outdoor enthusiasts.
