TLGV Member Program – The Return of Bald Eagles to The Last Green Valley
With Chief Ranger Bill Reid
Saturday, January 28th 9:00 am – 12:00 Noon
This is a two part program starting at the TLGV Office in Danielson at 9:00 a.m. followed at 11:15 a.m. with a drive to (hopefully) view eagles along the Quinebaug River.
The first part includes a presentation on bald eagles in The Last Green Valley and report on the January 14th mid-winter eagle survey. Following the presentation we will drive 7 miles to the Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery in Central Village. Bordering the Quinebaug River the trout hatchery property has over 2000 acres including a large open field over half a mile in length that provides excellent opportunities for seeing bald eagles known to frequent the hatchery area and river.
For more information please call Bill Reid at 860-774-3300 or e-mail bill@tlgv.org
