Difficulty: Easy. Join TLGV at Bright Acres Farm Sugar House in beautiful Hampton to see how a modern sugar house operates from sap to syrup. Bright Acres uses the latest technology, including vacuum pumps to collect the sap and reverse osmosis process to concentrate the sugars in the sap before boiling the sap to remove excess water. It typically takes 30 to 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of maple syrup. We’ll tap and taste during this workshop. This program is reserved for members of TLGV.
