Lisbon, Shetucket River Boat Launch

Join The Last Green Valley, Operation Clean Fishing, and the Town of Lisbon as we clean up the shoreline along the Shetucket River at the Shetucket River boat launch located at Riverview Drive in Lisbon.

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the boat launch area and shoreline trail that runs along the edge of the river, both upstream and downstream to the river portage at Taftville Dam. The Town of Lisbon will provide a dump truck to haul away any trash and debris and TLGV will provide bags, gloves, tools and refreshments. This is the first time we have coordinated a cleanup with Operation Clean Fishing, and we look forward to leaving the boat launch area in much better condition than at present. For information about Operation Clean Fishing check out their website at: https://operationcleanfishing.com/

Volunteers must register for this cleanup by contacting Chief Ranger Bill Reid at 860-774-3300 or email bill@tlgv.org We begin at 9 am and hope to be done by noon. Many hands make light work and your willingness to help clean up this important community recreation area is greatly appreciated.
