Acorn Adventure for Families: Every Tree for Itself
2/26/2023 @ 1:00 pm

Registration required, email bill@tlgv.org or call 860-774-3300.

Trees are all around us here in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, but it took a very special combination of conditions to grow from saplings to the towering beauties we see. This program teaches kids just how important all the factors are for a tree and gives them a chance to think about all the things that help them grow. The kids will make their paper plate tree cookie timeline of their own life and get a real cross section of a tree branch or trunk (tree “cookies”) to take home. We’ll also talk about how foresters might use their knowledge of trees in caring for a stand of trees. Registration is required so we can ensure enough materials for every child.

Please, email bill@tlgv.org or call 860-774-3300 to register. Sponsored by The Last Green Valley and Friends of Goodwin Forest.

Acorn Adventures are generously supported by Centreville Bank.
