It’s Happening in The Last Green Valley
Walktober may be over, but there’s still a lot to do in The Last Green Valley.
The 13th Annual Northeastern CT Holiday Dazzle Light Parade steps off at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 30th, in Putnam. The Last Green Valley, Inc. will again be providing garbage bags and asking people to pick up their litter after the parade. Together we can keep The Last Green Valley clean! Everyone is invited to have fun with Chief Ranger Bill and the rest of the TLGV crew on our recreation-themed float: paddle, bike, hike or cross-country ski your way through downtown Putnam. All while decked out in green lights, of course! To join the Green Flash, contact Bill at 860 774-3300 or email Bill@tlgv.org.
If you miss the parade, you can catch up with Chief Ranger Bill during his monthly Ranger Talk on Monday, December 1, at 7 pm at the TLGV Office in Danielson. This month’s talk is called Notables and Notorious: Curious and Infamous Characters from The Last Green Valley, featuring many people who, in their own unique way, shaped the region, state and country. Held at the TLGV Office, 203B Main Street (2nd floor, side door), Danielson, CT, the talks last approximately one hour with time for questions. The program is free. Come on down and have some fun with us! Registration is required. To sign up, please contact Chief Ranger Bill Reid at 860-774-3300 or via e-mail at Bill@tlgv.org.
