Willimantic Cemetery Cleanup

Volunteer veterans from the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center, a group that operates under the Windham Region Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. are organizing a cleanup day in the Willimantic Cemetery to prepare for Memorial Day.  Volunteers will be cleaning up trash, removing old decorations and flowers, picking up sticks and cleaning dirt and overgrown grass from flat stones of military personnel.  Participants are asked to meet at the Willimantic Cemetery on West Main St., Willimantic for 10 am on Friday, May 10, 2024. There will be a short historical presentation to begin the cleanup. Participants will be provided gloves and small hand tools for their use. Pizza will be provided to all participants.
