The Eastern Connecticut State University – Big Read Program – The Bear aims to connect literature and artistic creation to the environment, challenging participants to imagine a future that is sustainable. We aim to connect ECSU students and members of the public to our natural surroundings, helping to promote belonging in our region. There will be outdoor activities, creative writing workshops and author talks throughout Walktober, including TLGV-led Wander and Ponder adventures & Trailwood’s Naturalist Writing in The Last Green Valley hike.
