Acorn Adventure: The Solar System in Your Pocket

Our solar system is bigger than most of us can imagine. Together we’ll create a scale model the size of a football field and a scale model you can put in your pocket and take home! Join TLGV’s Night Sky Rangers Geoff and Kim McLean for an afternoon learning about our place in the universe. Ranger Geoff will also have his telescope set up so we can safely examine the sun, looking for cool features like flares, sunspots, Ellerman bombs and more! Please note if it’s cloudy, we will still host the program but we may not be able to look at the sun through the telescope.
